Job summary

Armed Services YMCA of The U S A is seeking a Child and Youth Program Assistant Supervisory to provide developmentally appropriate childcare and instruction for children aged 5 to 12, while supervising other Child and Youth professionals. The role includes supervising staff, arranging indoor/outdoor activities, ensuring safety, and communicating with parents about progress and program activities.

Qualifications

• Candidate must read, write, and speak English.
• Requires ability to supervise children and youth.
• Experience in childcare or related fields preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide care and supervision for children and youth aged 5–12.
• Supervise employees and volunteers and participate in evaluations.
• Prepare activity areas and supervise indoor/outdoor activities and field trips.
• Communicate regularly with parents about program activities and child progress.
• Ensure safety and compliance with applicable laws and ASYMCA policies.
