The YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap Counties is hiring a Part-Time Youth Sports Staff in Gig Harbor, WA. You will instruct participants in sports, games, and activities while upholding YMCA values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.

This role offers part-time hours up to 25 per week with a wage of $17.13 per hour. Candidates should be at least 15 years old and prepared for background checks and training; CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.

Competenze

• Minimum age 15 or older.
• Six months or more related experience (preferred).
• Ability to instruct participants in techniques.
• CPR, First Aid, AED certifications (preferred).
• Knowledge of programming, activities, and sports.
• Pass background and reference checks (WA State Fair Chance Act).
• Commitment to valuing diversity and promoting an inclusive environment.
• Online Child Abuse Prevention training on day one and other trainings as required.

Wage:$17.13 to $17.13 per hour(Compensation is determined based on relevant experience, skills, and qualifications, with most new hires starting between the minimum and midpoint of the posted wage range)

Hours: Part-Time, Up to 25 hours per week

Location: Tom TaylorFamily YMCA, Gig Harbor, WA

As a Youth Sports Staff, you will be responsible for instructing class participants in various sports, games, and activities while providing quality experience to children and parents that focuses on the YMCA values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 15 years of age or older.
• Six months or more of related experience (preferred).
• The ability to instruct participants in techniques.
• CPR, First Aid, AED certifications (preferred).
• Knowledge and skills in programming, activities, and sports.
• Must be able to pass Background and Reference checks (in accordance with the WA State Fair Chance Act).
• Committed to valuing and promoting diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment.
• Able and willing to complete online Child Abuse Prevention training on first day, and other online and in-person training as required.
