Job summary

Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens, Inc. operates the Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP) and seeks a Site Monitor to oversee youth at multiple NYC sites. The role includes supervision, orientations, and weekly lessons under the Unit Manager.

The position requires a High School Diploma and experience with youth supervision; bilingual English/Spanish is preferred. Candidates should be able to travel between sites and lift up to 25 pounds when needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Experience providing youth supervision required.
• Experience in community organizing preferred.
• Experience proving crisis intervention services preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Able to sit for periods of times reviewing client/worksite folders.

Responsibilities

• Provide constant supervision of youth working at the site.
• Facilitate an orientation which will include an overview of the program and work readiness lesson plans under the instruction of the Unit Manager.
• Conduct weekly group lessons under the instruction of the Unit Manager.
• Maintain well-documented client records and program statistics to comply with all agency/program/funding requirements, including program files/client documentation, timesheets, worksite documentation, and the educational component all need to be updated and upheld.
• Manage timesheets process; collect and calculate timesheet hours and submit them to the Program Manager.
• Work with Unit Manager to obtain proper documentation for maintaining files as audit ready. These include weekly assessments, licenses, assurances, worksite surveys, and worksite evaluations.
• Visit sites a minimum of two times weekly for monitoring assessments and timesheet pickup.
• Identify youth needs and concerns to immediate supervisor to resolve matters quickly. This includes immediate conflict resolution and incident reports when necessary.
