Job summary

YMCA Beacons School Success Lead at Richfield High School is a part-time after-school role (Mon–Fri) with a starting wage of $17 per hour. The position involves mentoring, planning enrichment activities, and leading youth groups in a Beacons School Success Center.

The role requires a minimum age of 18, experience in youth services, and certifications in CPR/First Aid/AED within 30 days of hire. It offers a free YMCA membership and opportunities for growth within the program.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old.
• Experience and/or education in youth studies, child development, human relations, communication, or recreational programs.
• Certifications required within 30 days of hire: Adult and child CPR or CPR/PR; First Aid; and AED.
• Ability to plan, organize, and facilitate youth development programming.
• Excellent interpersonal communications and mediation skills.
• Willingness to work with diverse populations.
• Demonstrated commitment to working with school-age children in an enrichment setting.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop and implement enrichment curriculum and program activities with a group of young people.
• Provide work direction to program staff and volunteers while on duty.
• Evaluate the program on a continuous basis and suggest changes.
• Ensure center and classroom spaces are clean and organized.
• Perform administrative activities such as collecting daily attendance.
• Assist in promotion of the program including recruiting youths and communicating with families.
