Job summary

Naval District Washington (NDW) (NAF) seeks a Custodian to perform a variety of semiskilled labor and cleaning tasks across CYP facilities, CDCs, SACs, Youth Programs and more in Annapolis, MD. The role supports daily operations without disturbing youth activities.

Responsibilities include cleaning, equipment maintenance, and adherence to safety and security policies. Must meet background checks and immunization requirements for DoD Child and Youth Programs.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of a variety of cleaning agents and safety handling.
• Ability to operate and maintain powered cleaning equipment.
• Experience using standard cleaning tools and supplies.
• Physical ability to move heavy objects up to 50 pounds.
• Clear English communication in writing and speaking.

Responsibilities

• Perform custodial and housekeeping tasks per established specs.
• Clean floors, bathrooms, kitchens, windows, and surfaces.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment; report needs for repairs.
• Move furniture as needed and assist for special events.
• Follow security and safety rules; report hazards promptly.
