Job summary

The Navy Region Southeast Fleet and Family Readiness (FFR) is seeking a full-time Child and Youth Program Custodian to perform a range of semiskilled labor and cleaning tasks across CYP facilities, including CDCs, SAC programs, and youth centers. Responsibilities include cleaning, maintenance, and setup for events while ensuring safety and compliance.

Applicants must meet extensive background checks, have a high school diploma or equivalent, and be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of chemical cleaners and cleaning agents.
• Ability to operate household and industrial cleaning tools.
• Skill to maintain and adjust powered cleaning equipment.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and move furniture as needed.
• Effective English communication, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Perform custodial and housekeeping tasks per specifications.
• Clean floors, carpets, bathrooms, kitchens, and fixtures.
• Use ladders to replace light bulbs and wash walls.
• Keep restrooms sanitary and report leaks or repairs.
• Move furniture for events and set up spaces as required.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and supply storage.
