Job summary

Hanover Township Youth and Family Services is seeking a Full-Time Prevention & Volunteer Coordinator to lead the Alternative Supports Program and supervise teen activities at the Izaak Walton Youth Center, including weekly drop-in nights.

You will work with the Prevention Specialist to build outreach, prevention initiatives, and positive youth development, while developing and coordinating volunteer programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, education, human services or related field; master’s preferred.
• One year of program planning or volunteer management experience preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Experience with electronic records systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Implement and oversee the Alternative Supports Program and Izaak Walton Youth Center teen activities.
• Develop outreach and prevention programs using positive youth development and restorative practices.
• Develop and implement the department's volunteer programs.
• Collaborate with school providers and community groups to meet program goals.
• Assist and support students at risk through positive alternatives.
