Job summary

The Northwest Portland Area Indian Health Board (NPAIHB) is seeking a Prevention Coordinator in Portland, Oregon. You will plan, implement, and evaluate behavioral health and substance misuse prevention activities across the Youth Primary Prevention programs, serving as a central liaison among staff, contractors, and Tribal partners to facilitate communication and training.

The position requires knowledge of prevention frameworks and strong skills in strategy, collaboration, and community

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Behavioral Health, Prevention Science, Mental Health, Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or closely related field.
• Minimum 2 years in public health, behavioral health, prevention, or related field with Tribes or Tribal health clinics.
• Experience coordinating prevention programs and working with Tribal partners.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and evaluate prevention activities across Youth Primary Prevention programs.
• Coordinate day‑to‑day operations and meetings with staff, contractors, and Tribal partners.
• Facilitate stakeholder engagement, training, and communication to advance program goals.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, funding requirements, and quality standards.
