Job summary

Sarah’s Inn in Illinois is seeking a Prevention Educator to implement and evaluate the Together Strong Project curricula in elementary, middle, and high schools, delivering workshops for youth, parents, school staff, and community partners to promote non-violence and healthy relationships.

Collaborating with the Prevention team and agency Directors, you will update curricula, track data, recruit volunteers, coordinate Youth Committee, provide trainings, and support community outreach and crisis

Qualifications

• BA degree or equivalent experience required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience requested/preferred in related youth education or prevention work.
• Demonstrated ability to develop training and presentation materials.
• Experience working with youth and facilitating groups; classroom management is a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; Canva, Word, Excel, and Publisher are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement violence prevention programming as part of the Together Strong Project across elementary to high school settings.
• Assist with evaluation of programming and adapt plans to improve fidelity.
• Update data tracking databases and maintain evaluation records; track student demographics.
• Develop and revise prevention curricula and outreach materials; incorporate new research and events.
• Coordinate Youth Committee and recruit/interview volunteers; prepare meetings.
