Job summary

Stride is seeking a part-time non-clinical support worker for Armstrong Creek, VIC. You will assist clients to review needs, monitor progress and provide information and advocacy within a recovery framework.

The role requires a Cert IV in a Community Services discipline, lived experience or caring for someone with mental illness, and the ability to work with Indigenous clients. Training and development are offered in a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Cert IV in a Community services related discipline.
• Experience or lived experience of mental illness or caring for someone with mental illness is desired.
• Knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture; ability to communicate effectively with Indigenous Clients.

Responsibilities

• Provide regular, flexible, non-clinical support to service users and review their needs.
• Assist clients to review resources and monitor activities in Support Plans.
• Perform outcome measures and data collection; input journal entries and case notes.
• Provide client-centred information, advocacy and support within a recovery framework.
• Participate in Communities of Practice and professional development activities.
