Job summary

Community Concepts, Inc. invites applications for a Youth Peer Support Specialist. This per diem role offers up to 15 hours per week with evenings and occasional weekends possible, serving Rumford/South Paris areas within Oxford County.

Starting pay is $16.00 per hour, with potential for YPS certification within 6 months of hire. Responsibilities include building recovery-oriented relationships, mentoring youth, facilitating goal setting, and collaborating with the treatment team.

Qualifications

• Lived experience navigating mental health challenges and/or youth-serving systems.
• Experience providing peer support or mentoring is preferred.
• Must have valid driver's license.
• Ability to collaborate with treatment teams and families.

Responsibilities

• Build supportive, recovery-oriented relationships with youth using lived experience.
• Provide ongoing peer support, encouragement, mentoring, and advocacy.
• Help youth identify personal goals and develop self-advocacy skills.
• Participate in planning with youth and treatment team members to support goals.
