Job summary

LifeWorks in Austin, TX is seeking a Program Manager to lead the Peer Services team, supervise staff, and guide program outcomes for youth and young adults facing homelessness, mental health challenges, and substance use. The role emphasizes training, data oversight, and community partnerships to support clients’ navigation of services.

The position is full-time, exempt, with a competitive salary and benefits package including PTO, holidays, and retirement matching.

Qualifications

Requires Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related field with 3 years’ experience; or equivalent.
Preferred minimum 1 year of supervisory experience.
Requires having maintained their own recovery for the last two-year period.
Experience with databases; proficient level of experience with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and assist in the development, delivery, and management of program services.
Promote a healing- and person-centered culture that uplifts clients’ dignity and strengths.
Oversee hiring, orientation, training, supervision, evaluation, and dismissal of direct reports.
Review client outcomes with direct reports during supervision.
Ensure staff provide appropriate support and utilize program resources efficiently.
Hold staff accountable for meeting performance objectives through coaching and evaluation.
Comply with funding source requirements, licensure, and accreditation bodies.
