Job summary

Silence Aloud, Inc. in Moreno Valley seeks a Peer Support Specialist / Navigator to assist youth through the YHDP, drawing on lived experience to connect with clients and guide them to essential resources.

This full-time role (.75 FTE) reports to the Program Manager and emphasizes collaboration, confidentiality, advocacy, and ongoing engagement with diverse youth facing homelessness and behavioral health challenges.

Qualifications

• Lived experience with homelessness, mental health, or related issues.
• Certification as a Peer Support Specialist preferred.
• Strong communication and empathy skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse populations.
• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent degree.

Responsibilities

• Offer peer support and mentorship to youth clients.
• Assist clients in navigating services and resources.
• Facilitate support groups and peer-led activities.
• Advocate for clients and provide emotional support.
• Maintain client confidentiality and accurate records.
• Collaborate with case managers and other staff.
