Faith Covenant Church is seeking an Associate Pastor – Next Gen to lead and disciple the youth ministry (6th–12th grade) while supporting the church’s overall discipleship strategy. The role emphasizes mobilizing volunteers and modeling biblical leadership within the congregation and local community.

The candidate should demonstrate a strong commitment to Scripture, pastoral maturity, and the ability to mentor others, with a flexible schedule to meet ministry needs.

Qualifications

• Born-again believer in Christ with a strong Bible basis and a commitment to discipleship.
• Represents the pastor characteristics in 1 Timothy 3:17 and Titus 1:5-9.
• Minimum 7 years of experience as a pastor/director or leading youth ministry.
• Currently discipling others in your ministry context.
• Solid verbal, written, conflict management and computer skills.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule to shepherd others.
• Valid Driver’s License, no criminal record, ability to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

The Associate Pastor – Next Gen is a broad position with a primary focus on student ministries (6th-12th Grades). The primary purpose of this role is to support, encourage, and implement Faith Covenant Church’s philosophy of ministry that focuses on discipling people of all ages. We desire to help people look more like Jesus every day in every way, and this position is an integral part of fulfilling this vision within this congregation and our community. This position is designed to help us grow in the six priorities of Christ: the centrality of God’s Word, intentional relationships, a Biblical group image, an atmosphere of love, a right concept of Christ, and prayerful dependence.

This position plays an integral role in the overall leadership and health of the church. Faith Covenant is looking for a seasoned candidate with a passion for discipleship, with the goal of raising up and supporting volunteer leaders both in their personal walk with Christ and in ministry. As a growing church, counseling, mentoring, and shepherding to all members and guests are important responsibilities that will be expected of this role. As the student ministry continues to grow with the larger church body, the chief focus of this role should continue to be to reach out and impact youth throughout the church and the community.
