Job summary

Equus Workforce Solutions is seeking an Outreach Coordinator to recruit youth aged 16–24 for Job Corps programs, conduct outreach at communities, centers, and events, and ensure placement readiness and ongoing support. The role emphasizes collaboration with centers, employers, and state agencies.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong public speaking, communication, and problem-solving skills, plus the ability to travel and work some evenings/weekends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; psychology coursework (15 semester hours) preferred.
• Experience with youths ages 16–24 preferred.
• Public speaking and communication skills required.
• Driver's license required; willingness to travel occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Recruit eligible youth for Job Corps Program.
• Conduct outreach activities in communities, agencies, American Job Centers, and public events.
• Meet departmental and center goals and objectives.
• Conduct orientation and interview with applicants, including parents for minors.
• Perform applicant files procedures (data entry, scan documents).
• Participate in departmental meetings.
• Coordinate with centers to support applicants in travel arrangements.
• Perform Quality Assurance checks on all applicant files.
• Assess graduates/former trainees for placement readiness and provide referrals and support services.
• Promote job development through contact with employers and agencies.
• Communicate CSS and employability skills effectively.
• Maintain accountability of staff, students, and property.
• Adhere to safety practices; foster a respectful environment.
• Attend required staff training opportunities.
• Other duties as assigned.
