Job summary

Archdiocese of Seattle Sammamish parish is seeking a Youth Ministry Coordinator to lead Middle School and High School programs, manage budgets, recruit volunteers, and coordinate youth and young adult activities.

The role involves collaboration with parish staff, planning events, and engaging families through multiple channels. Evening and weekend work is required, with travel to conferences or missions as needed.

Qualifications

• A practicing Catholic who can serve as a faithful witness to others, proclaiming the Gospel and sharing the teachings of the Catholic Church.
• A passion for helping others grow in their relationship for Christ and engagement in the life of the Church.
• A proven ability to collaborate with others and communicate effectively.
• Ability to work nights and weekends, and travel for conferences or missions.
• A bachelor’s degree in related field, or comparable experience in youth ministry.
• Must keep a clean and current background check, compliance with the Safe Environment program, and be able to lift at least 20 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Middle School and High School Youth Ministry programs, including calendar and curriculum planning, purchasing food, teaching, organizing games, leading prayer, guiding small groups, and utilizing volunteers.
• Coordinate additional opportunities for prayer, service of those in need, recreation, or social gatherings, and other activities.
• Organize outside opportunities, including youth conferences and missions, and potential fundraising to defer costs to families.
• Recruit, train and oversee volunteers who will support the programs and serve as witnesses of faith.
• Communicate with youth, their families, the staff, and the wider parish community, using email, social media, and the website to foster community.
