Job summary

Diocese of San Jose seeks a Youth Ministry Coordinator to provide administrative, programmatic, and pastoral support to the Office of Youth Ministry. You will help coordinate diocesan events, assist parish leaders, and implement initiatives from the Diocesan Pastoral Plan, including the Youth Addendum.

The role supports day-to-day operations, fosters collaboration, and expands youth ministry across the diocese. Requires teamwork, strong communications, and budget management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Theology, Pastoral Ministry, Religious Education, or related field.
• 2–5 years of youth ministry or parish ministry experience.
• Ability to read church documents and follow diocesan guidelines.
• Fluent English with professional writing ability; Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and execute diocesan youth ministry events and programs.
• Support parish youth ministry leaders with resources, training, and consultation.
• Maintain databases, communications, budgeting, and scheduling.
• Recruit, organize, and supervise youth ministers, leaders, and volunteers.
• Support reporting and evaluation of program effectiveness.
