Job summary

University Place Presbyterian Church seeks a dynamic Coordinator of Middle School Ministry for grades 5–7. You will recruit and train leaders, teach scripture and discipleship, and model the ways of Jesus in daily life and school culture.

The role emphasizes relational leadership, planning events, and collaborative ministry with families. Requires 1–3 years in youth ministry and an Associates degree; a BA in Ministry/Theology is preferred. 20 hrs/week at $19/hr, Sundays & Wednesdays.

Qualifications

• Associates degree required; Bachelor’s in Ministry/Theology preferred or equivalent experience.
• 1–3 years in student ministry, educational leadership, or youth program management.
• Strong relational and leadership abilities with a heart for mentorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Wednesday Youth Group and assist with camps/events for grades 5–7.
• Meet one-on-one with students to disciple and encourage.
• Attend staff meetings and contribute to social media posts/newsletter.
• Develop weekly small group connections and foster youth leadership.
• Explore creation of a Youth Worship Band and partner with families & schools.
• Create a welcoming culture where every middle schooler feels seen and valued.
