Job summary

The Salvation Army Marion Corps seeks a Youth Ministries Coordinator to plan, organize, and facilitate engaging youth programs under Corps Officers. You will support social services, volunteer, and community initiatives, while leading evangelism, discipleship, and leadership development for the young people.

Responsibilities include recruiting and training volunteers, coordinating activities such as Bible study, cadets, VBS, and music programs; maintaining attendance records; and ensuring safe,

Qualifications

• Strong personal Christian values and high moral character.
• Strong Organizational skills.
• Ability to be a team member and function in a work situation to complete tasks.
• Intermediate level computer skills.
• Valid Drivers License and able to drive a 12 passenger van.
• A uniform wearing Salvationist preferred.
• Musical ability preferred but not required.
• Must be available to work evenings and weekends.
• Must complete KeepSafe courses and maintain confidentiality.
• Must embrace and promote the mission.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a daily devotional and prayer life.
• Weekly participation in Corps Worship Services.
• Coordinate evangelism, discipleship and leadership development of youth involved in corps programs.
• Plan and implement recruitment, leadership development and training for volunteers.
• Maintain records of attendance and statistics for programs.
• Provide leadership for youth Sunday School, Corps cadets, and youth Bible study ministries.
• Recruit, coordinate and transport youth to programs, camps and events.
• Attend necessary training opportunities.
