Job summary

Church of the Outer Banks is seeking a dedicated Youth Pastor/Youth Ministry Director to shepherd middle and high school students, partnering with families and volunteers to build a gospel-centered culture. You will lead weekly gatherings, mentor students, and shape curriculum within a four-movement discipleship path.

We value spiritual maturity, 2+ years in youth ministry, and the ability to teach the Bible engagingly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in ministry, theology, biblical studies, or related field preferred.
• 2+ years of leadership or service in youth ministry or related education/mentoring role.
• Ability to teach the Bible in a way that engages teenagers and facilitates discussion.
• Strong administrative skills for scheduling, budgeting, and communication.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead weekly youth gatherings with fellowship, worship, and Bible teaching.
• Organize retreats, service projects, camps, and mission trips to deepen relationships.
• Mentor students through presence, guidance, and listening at school events.
• Recruit, train, and supervise volunteer youth leaders; oversee the Youth Intern.
