Job summary

Holy Redeemer by the Sea Parish in Kitty Hawk, NC is seeking a full-time youth ministry leader to renew and grow ministry for middle and high school students. The role partners with the Diocese of Raleigh’s Office of Evangelization and Discipleship to implement Bishop Luis’ vision of integrated youth ministry and confirmation preparation.

Qualifications

• Associates degree required.
• 3+ years leadership in youth ministry.
• Effective communicator in person and in writing.
• Background check and Safe Environment Training required on hire.

Responsibilities

• Yearly recruitment and training of youth ministry volunteers for various roles.
• Facilitate sacramental preparation for middle and high school youth (first reconciliation, first holy communion, confirmation, baptism).
• Year-round discipleship of volunteers with one-on-one support and formation opportunities.
• Provide at least one conversion-based retreat for high-school youth.
