Job summary

Adult & Teen Challenge of Texas seeks a faith-driven minister to serve adolescent girls in the THRIVE program on the Montgomery campus. You will provide religious instruction, mentorship, and pastoral care while ensuring compliance with state regulations and Teen Challenge standards.

You will collaborate with campus departments to support residents’ spiritual, emotional, and educational development, participating in chapels and school activities as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be spiritually mature and aligned with Assemblies of God doctrine.
• Complete the Effective Biblical Counseling course or equivalent.
• Knowledge of Christian discipleship and mentor relationships.
• Background check and pastoral reference required.
• 30 hours of training in childcare or related field (Provided by THRIVE).
• Maintain First Aid and CPR certification (Certification training provided by THRIVE).

Responsibilities

• Engage in religious instruction.
• Work with other departments to comply with all Texas DFPS regulations.
• Participate in campus events and chapels as required.
• Supervision, mentoring, and interacting with residents during various activities.
• Administer discipline as necessary according to THRIVE policies.
• Minister to students as opportunity arises and/or during scheduled sessions.
• Provide and effectively communicate vision and planning for all aspects of the campus.
• Be supportive of the Teen Challenge National Accreditation Standards and fully cooperative with the Teen Challenge National Office.
• Be responsible for the physical, spiritual, and emotional welfare and development of the students while on the campus.
• Be responsible for the supervision and guidance of the program staff.
• Become a mentor to students.
• All other duties as assigned by Director.
