Job summary

Boone Memorial Health seeks a Program Coordinator to lead Growing Futures @ Market on Main, a youth mentoring and prevention program for ages 8–13 in southern West Virginia.

You will oversee mentoring, operations, partnerships, and evaluation, including coordinating greenhouse activities and community engagement. Based at the Greenhouse at Market on Main in Madison, WV, with some evening/weekend events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience mentoring or working with youth in prevention or social services.
• Current BLS certification.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass background checks.
• Experience coordinating grant-funded community programs and supervising staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead weekly youth mentoring circles focused on resilience, communication, and wellness.
• Plan and facilitate education and life skills programming using evidence-based practices.
• Build positive relationships with youth and families.
• Recruit, train, schedule, coach, and supervise mentors and volunteers.
• Coordinate greenhouse activities with the Horticulture Instructor.
• Manage recruitment, orientation, intake, attendance, and ongoing engagement.
• Build partnerships with schools, foster care agencies, and community orgs.
• Coordinate transportation, supplies, incentives, and events.
• Monitor outcomes and maintain grant documentation.
• Coordinate quarterly community showcase events.
• Ensure compliance with grant requirements and Boone Memorial Health policies.
