Job summary

The Salvation Army North and Central Illinois Division invites applications for a Youth Program Mentor Coordinator to lead the development and delivery of a one-to-one youth mentoring program, coordinating recruitment, onboarding, matching, and ongoing support.

This role reports to the Youth Director, collaborates with schools and community partners, and ensures program quality, safety, and compliance while promoting positive youth development.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred in human services, business management or related field.
• Experience: Three years in developing and leading mentoring, youth development and/or volunteer programs.
• Skills: Strong communication, confidentiality, and ability to work with diverse groups.

Responsibilities

• Oversee recruitment and onboarding of mentors and mentees, ensuring safety and confidentiality.
• Monitor and support mentor-mentee relationships, plan group events and retention activities.
• Develop partnerships with schools, corporations, and community orgs to support program delivery.
