Job summary

UMBC\u2019s The Choice Program seeks a Service Coordinator to deliver high-quality direct services to youth involved with the Department of Juvenile Services in central Maryland. You will mentor, advocate, and help youth set and achieve goals, while coordinating with AmeriCorps mentors and reporting progress to partners.

The role emphasizes anti-racist, trauma-informed, community-based practice, with opportunities for professional development and growth within a grant-funded program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor\'s degree required.
• At least 1 year of experience in youth development, advocacy, or related field.
• Valid driver\'s license and access to a vehicle where insured.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person mentoring and advocacy to youth.
• Assist youth with goal planning and achievement.
• Document and report engagement with youth and families.
• Coordinate activities with AmeriCorps Mentors during evenings and weekends.
• Attend organizational and team meetings.
• Engage in training to support positive youth development.
