Job summary

Discovery Ranch in Mapleton, Utah, is seeking Youth Mentors to work with 13-18 year-old boys, helping them develop new skills and personal growth within a supportive clinical team.

Youth Mentors will engage in experiential therapies, supervise daily routines, assist academics, and help families navigate treatment, while ensuring safety and a positive environment throughout the facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
• Pass background check
• Pass motor vehicle record check
• First Aid & CPR certified (we may provide)
• Experience with teenagers preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to respond effectively in crisis situations

Responsibilities

• Monitor students' daily routines and chores.
• Attend and facilitate experiential activities, group therapy, and outdoor recreational activities.
• Assist students with academic and extracurricular goals.
• Help manage and document behavioral issues and progress.
• Provide support to students and their families.
• Maintain a safe and positive environment for the students.
• Ensure safety of all students and respond to emergencies.
• Collaborate with treatment team.
• Teach values: Responsibility, Grit, Honesty, Respect, Courage, Kindness, Accountability.
• Participate in ongoing training to maintain high standard of care.
