Job summary

Discovery Ranch South in Cedar City, Utah, is hiring part-time mentors for our therapeutic residential program. Starting pay is $17 per hour with swing shifts available as you support teenage girls on their healing journey through experiential therapy activities like horseback riding, hiking, and rock climbing.

You'll work in a relationship-based setting, building trust with students, uphold safety, and collaborate with a responsive team.

Qualifications

• Must be 19+ years of age.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Eligible to work in the USA.
• Able to pass background check.
• Able to pass motor vehicle record check.
• Current Utah driver's license.
• Works well within a team.
• Strong problem-solving aptitude.
• Good judgement.
• Safety-oriented.
• Firm, healthy boundaries.
• Must be able to complete responsibilities under various weather conditions such as snow, ice, heat.
• Must be able to adhere to physical demands of walking, running, lifting, hiking, and animal related activities.

Responsibilities

• Support teenage girls in a therapeutic setting and help them progress on their healing journey.
• Lead experiential therapy activities (horseback riding, rock climbing, hiking, skiing).
• Build rapport with students and maintain safe, structured routines.
• Collaborate with a team to ensure holistic care and safety.
