Job summary

State of North Carolina’s Whitaker PRTF in Butner is seeking a Youth Program Education Assistant II to provide psychiatric-mental health nursing care for 18 residents. Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in human services or related degree; two years of directly related work experience.
• High school or GED + four years of directly related work experience.
• CPR certification and listing as a Nurse Aide I or Nurse Aide II as required before direct patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric-mental health nursing care to 18 residents at Whitaker PRTF.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for residents.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to assess child behavior and develop treatment plans.
• Maintain safety and respond to adverse events as required.
