Job summary

Allina Healthcare is seeking a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) focused on youth mental health to provide essential clinical support in a remote outpatient setting. This full-time role offers scheduling flexibility and a commitment to ethical, client-centered care.

The counselor will manage caseloads, develop tailored treatment plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in mental health counseling or a closely related field.
• Current state licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).
• Minimum of one year of experience working with psychiatric patients, youth populations, or individuals facing substance use disorders.
• Experience with assessment and diagnosis, as well as providing individual and group therapy.
• Proficient in using technology for documentation and communication, with strong keyboarding skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of clients, building rapport and establishing positive working relationships while adhering to professional ethics.
• Conduct regular sessions to assess client progress, stability, and readiness for discharge, ensuring open communication during each visit.
• Develop, implement, and regularly review individualized, person-centered treatment plans customized to each client’s needs.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date client documentation and progress notes in compliance with best practices and regulatory standards.
• Administer intake assessments to gather comprehensive client histories and inform treatment plans.
• Conduct individual therapy sessions, tailoring approaches to the unique needs of each youth client.
• Engage in regular individual supervision and case consultations to enhance professional skills and therapeutic techniques.
• Collaborate effectively with other healthcare providers and community resources to ensure comprehensive client care.
