Job summary

The Thunderbird Challenge Program in Pryor, OK is seeking a Team Leader to mentor cadets aged 15½ to 18 in a structured, quasi-military environment. You will supervise, guide, and support cadets to develop discipline, leadership, and personal responsibility, helping them prepare for education, employment, and community life.

Ideal candidates have strong interpersonal skills and a background in youth development or related fields; military experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Military background preferred but not required; transferable to youth development roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship to cadets in a structured environment.
• Lead leadership development, character education, and team-building activities.
• Enforce program rules and address disciplinary issues constructively.
• Support cadets in achieving academic, career, and personal goals and connect them to resources.
• Supervise cadets during activities including physical training, academics, and field trips.
• Maintain safety and report incidents; document cadet progress and participate in trainings.
