Job summary

The Oklahoma Military Department is seeking a Temporary Team Leader to monitor and supervise 35 to 45 youth ages 16 to 18 in the Thunderbird Challenge Program. The role emphasizes discipline, safety, accountability, and mentoring as the primary Drill and Ceremony instructor and group living skills coach.

High School diploma or GED is required; a CDL must be obtained within 90 days, with CDL license within 12 months.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; degree not required.
• Military background preferred, but not necessary.
• CDL license must be obtained within 90 days; full CDL within 12 months.
• Willingness to work up to 29 hours per week including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and supervise 35 to 45 youth ages 16 to 18 in the Thunderbird Challenge Program.
• Maintain accountability of the platoon at all times.
• Maintain discipline, safety, and security within a quasi-military atmosphere.
• Develop a team-oriented attitude and mentor cadets.
• Conduct first-line counseling and instruct Drill and Ceremony and group living skills.
• Direct and participate in cadet physical training.
• Maintain supporting documentation and evaluations for cadets.
