YMCA of San Diego is seeking a Youth Leader – ELOP to supervise program participants and help plan engaging activities. You will coordinate with families, school personnel, and partners to provide academic support, enrichment, and youth leadership opportunities.

The role emphasizes safety, high energy, and a commitment to diverse, equitable youth development within the community. Availability includes mornings and afternoons, with at least 3 days per week.

Formación

• Must be 18 years of age or older and possess a high school diploma/GED.
• AA/AS degree, 48 college units or passing score on district’s proficiency exam for Classroom Assistant/Instructional Aide.
• Fingerprint clearance from DOJ/FBI required prior to working.
• TB test clearance within 60 days prior to employment.
• CPR/AED and First Aid certifications (Adult and Child/Infant) within 30 days of hire from a listed certifying organization.

Responsabilidades

• Actively supervise program participants, ensuring guidance and safety.
• Plan, manage and implement age-appropriate activities engaging students.
• Communicate professionally with participants, families and school partners.
• Collaborate with school personnel to align high quality academic activities.
• Provide positive behavior guidance supporting developmental needs.
