Job summary

Worcester State University is seeking a Youth Leader within the Latino Education Institute to mentor program participants, lead small group discussions, and help design activities that build relationships and confidence on campus in Worcester, MA. Required are a High School Diploma (or 1 year of relevant experience), reliability in transportation, and the ability to work some evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate small group discussions and mentor program participants.
• Assess group dynamics and create activities for outcomes like relationship building.
• Foster collaboration and leadership among participants.
• Meet weekly with the program team to review enrollment and curriculum.
• Participate in trainings, workshops or funder events.
• Collaborate with partners to enhance program goals.
• Attend community events representing the organization.
• Report suspected child abuse/neglect per mandated reporting protocols.
• Other duties including occasional weekend or evening events.
