YMCA of San Diego is seeking a Youth Leader for Expanded Learning Programs in Escondido, CA to supervise participants and support daily planning and implementation of activities. You will work with families, school staff, and partners to deliver academic support, enrichment activities, and programs that strengthen youth skills and promote healthy choices.
This in-person role requires energy, patience, and a genuine desire to mentor youth and contribute to the community.
Under the supervision of the Site Supervisor, the Youth Leader – Expanded Learning Programs (ELP) is responsible for the direct supervision of program participants, and for the daily planning and implementation of expanded learning program activities. The Youth Leader collaborates with other team members, families, and school personnel to provideparticipants with academic support, enrichment activities, and other student programs that increase student skill building, encourage healthy choices and behaviors, promote diversity and equity, support youth voice and leadership, and increase overall academic achievement. The Youth Leader position requires high energy, dedication, patience, and a strong desire to mentor youth, strengthen families, and serve the community.
