Job summary

The Kentucky United Methodist Children\'s Homes (KyUMH) seeks a mission-driven Case Worker to monitor court-ordered youth under DJJ supervision. This contract role provides per diem and mileage reimbursement, with travel and on-site duties in Owensboro, KY.

You will conduct weekly face-to-face visits and daily phone check-ins, process referrals, and prepare monthly billing and progress reports for DJJ and DAC staff.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old with a high school diploma.
• Valid Kentucky driver's license and willing to pass a background check.
• Reliable transportation for extensive travel and home office setup.
• Home office with laptop, printer/scanner, and reliable cell service

Responsibilities

• Maintain weekly face-to-face visits with assigned youth and daily phone check-ins.
• Remain on-call via cell phone; notify Director of ATD Services when unavailable.
• Receive and process referrals and intakes per DJJ requirements.
• Maintain knowledge of GPS tracking equipment and proper use.
• Complete monthly billing, weekly progress reports, budgets, and year-end summaries.
• Participate in trainings and communicate information to the Director.
• Collaborate with DJJ and DAC staff for case planning.
• Stay informed about issues affecting youth.
