Job Summary

The City of Greeley seeks youth soccer instructors for summer camps with Recreation. Passionate, friendly, and encouraging sports instructors will help conduct seasonal sports clinics and camps. Responsibilities include upholding the youth sports philosophy, leading safe, effective, and encouraging activities for children aged 3–14. Dependability and punctuality are essential. Training and lesson plans will be provided based on experience. Camp durations vary by sport and age group.

Experience, Knowledge, Skills

Minimum Requirements

• Zero to three (0-3) years experience in community-facing roles or customer service.
• One to three (1-3) years experience working with youth aged 3-14.
• Three to ten (3-10) years in sports such as football, soccer, tennis, baseball, basketball, volleyball, lacrosse, cheer, pickleball, dance.
• CPR/AED/First Aid Certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross) required.

Preferred

• Zero to three (0-3) years coaching experience preferred.

• Respond to injuries and emergencies.

• Maintain CPR/AED/First Aid certifications.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

Work Environment

• Exposure to outdoor elements.
• Occasional loud noises.
• Flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements

• Less than 30 hours/week expected.
• Lift up to 50 lbs.
• Physical activities including squatting, running, reaching, standing, and walking.

Travel

• Up to 10% travel expected.
