Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience teaching or working with children and teens.
• Training or professional experience in theatre, music, dance, or another performing arts discipline.
• Strong communication, organization, and classroom-management skills.
• A collaborative and dependable approach.
• A commitment to creating welcoming and inclusive arts experiences.

Responsibilities

• Planning and leading engaging, age-appropriate performing arts classes.
• Creating lessons that balance skill development, creativity, and fun.
• Fostering a positive, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Preparing students for showcases, concerts, or final performances, as applicable.
• Communicating professionally with Uptown staff and participating families.
• Attending all scheduled classes, rehearsals, and performances associated with their assigned program.
