Virginia Commonwealth University seeks a Community Engagement Lead to coordinate SEED-based activities in Richmond, VA. The role engages youth, caregivers, and providers to promote positive youth development and health problem-solving.

The position represents the university at community meetings, drafts progress reports, and travels to sites across the City of Richmond. Evening/weekend work may be required to accommodate participants.

Qualifications

• Experience engaging with residents and community-based organizations in under-resourced neighborhoods.
• Experience organizing and facilitating community meetings, focus groups, or group discussions.
• Ability to work with diverse stakeholders and partners.

Responsabilités

• Recruit members of a Community Research Team.
• Plan and facilitate 18 SEED engagement meetings with youth, caregivers, and providers.
• Recruit participants and facilitate focus groups.
• Manage petty cash and coordinate participant incentive payments.
• Organize and facilitate a community action planning meeting.
• Support action teams in implementing SEED-identified priorities.
• Supervise a community engagement assistant and graduate assistants.
