Job summary

Virginia Commonwealth University in Virginia is seeking Research Assistants to support community survey data collection for the Healthy Communities for Youth project, part of CDC funding. Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include prior research or community service work experience.
• Minimum of one-year experience in community service, health, education, or social service sector.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Travel to community locations to recruit eligible participants.
• Introduce study to parents/caregivers of eligible youth and young adults.
• Obtain informed consent/assent in person or by phone.
• Conduct phone surveys for participants preferring this method.
• Maintain documentation per study protocol and IRB guidelines.
• Participate in staff meetings and trainings.
• Hours vary; 6–20 hours per week with some weekend work.
