Job summary

The YMCA of Delaware, Bear-Glasgow Family YMCA, Newark, DE, is seeking a part-time Program Specialist for the Livestrong program. You will promote health and wellness, support program development, and engage with community members to inspire healthy living.

Qualifications include a HS diploma or equivalent, CPR/First Aid/AED, and experience with youth fitness or YMCA programs. This role emphasizes safety, relationship-building, and volunteer fundraising support.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; BS in health field preferred.
• Experience with youth fitness and YMCA programs.
• CPR/First Aid/AED certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Promote YMCA mission and values with members and staff.
• Ensure safety and report accidents or equipment issues.
• Prepare equipment and supplies for class sessions.
• Attend trainings and meetings.
• Engage with participants to build relationships.
• Assist with Livestrong program design, data collection, and paperwork.
• Help promote Livestrong program and participate in fundraising.
• Maintain certifications.
