Job summary

YMCA of Greater Oklahoma City is seeking a Youth and Family Department Coordinator to support and enhance community programs for youth and families. You will help plan and run activities, ensure a safe environment, and collaborate with staff and volunteers to engage children and families.

Must be 21+, have CPR/First Aid certification, and be committed to YMCA values. This is a full-time, on-site role with opportunities for professional development and community impact.

Qualifications

• Must stay current in CPR/AED/O2 and First Aid, renewed annually.
• Must complete annual compliance training within 30 days of hire and renewed annually.
• Must be 21+ with experience working with infants, children and families.
• Scheduling, supervising, and evaluating staff; address parent concerns and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, organizing, and implementing department programs (Child Watch, School Age Care, Summer Day Camp).
• Support daily operations of youth and family programs, ensuring a safe, inclusive environment.
• Collaborate with staff and volunteers to deliver high-quality activities for children and families.
• Communicate with parents, guardians, and community partners to promote participation and address concerns.
• Maintain program records, attendance, and YMCA safety/compliance.
• Assist in recruiting, training, and supervising program staff and volunteers.
• Contribute to development of new program ideas to meet community needs.
