Job summary

Christ the King Catholic Parish in Corpus Christi, Texas, is seeking a part-time Coordinator of Youth Faith Formation and Discipleship to lead the parish youth ministry program. The role focuses on helping teens grow in faith, develop leadership, and participate actively in parish life.

You will collaborate with parish staff and the pastor, coordinate activities, plan faith formation, service projects, retreats, and ensure records and permissions are maintained.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Texas driver's license.
• Fully initiated, practicing Roman Catholic.
• Experience in youth ministry or parish ministry preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office and social media platforms.

Responsibilities

• Support and uphold Catholic ministry and the Diocese mission in professional and personal life.
• Act as a witness to Gospel values by modeling Church teachings.
• Coordinate and lead youth group activities for parish youth.
• Plan faith formation, prayer, service projects, retreats, and reflection days.
• Encourage youth participation in Mass and the sacraments.
• Communicate ministry activities to youth and families.
• Maintain records, schedules, and permission forms.
• Collaborate with parish staff and pastor.
• Serve as a liaison with diocesan youth ministry resources.
• Maintain regular communication with the Pastor regarding youth ministry activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Pastor.
