Job summary

The NYC Administration for Children’s Services (ACS) is seeking an Institutional Aide to support the Clothing, Linen, and Supplies operations within the Children’s Center property room. Responsibilities include accurate recordkeeping, receipt and distribution of clothing items, and coordinating with vendors for deliveries.

The position emphasizes English literacy and the ability to follow simple instructions, with NYC residency typically required within 90 days of appointment.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and write English and to understand and carry out simple instructions.

Responsibilities

• Ensure records kept are accurate and properly documented physically and / or digitally.
• Provide for the receipt, storage, care and distribution of clothing items and supplies.
• Liaise with vendors regarding acceptance/rejection of deliveries.
• Load and unload at the point of pickup or delivery, or distribution.
• Operate equipment necessary to perform loading and unloading.
