Youth Opportunity & Rockdale Youth Academy is seeking a dedicated Facility Maintenance Worker to maintain a safe, functional environment for youth and staff at Rockdale Youth Academy in Rockdale, Texas.

The role requires a high school diploma, background check, and strong organizational and communication skills. Typical duties include maintenance, inspections, safety oversight, and coordinating with contractors in a mission-driven setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to pass background check and drug screen.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.
• Ability to foster a positive, team-oriented work environment.
• 3+ years of facility maintenance or related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage building services including maintenance, groundskeeping, parking areas, and safety.
• Conduct regular building inspections and ensure a safe, efficient, presentable environment.
• Oversee safety and security measures including fire and burglary prevention.
• Monitor and maintain security systems and access control.
• Support program managers by identifying and coordinating maintenance projects.
• Track and ensure timely completion of inspections and deficiencies.
• Direct contractor activities related to facility maintenance and grounds.
