Job summary

Youth Opportunity is hiring a Facility Maintenance Worker to support the daily operations of Rockdale Youth Academy in Rockdale, Texas. This role focuses on maintaining a safe, clean facility for youth and staff in a residential treatment environment.

Responsibilities include building services, inspections, safety measures, and coordinating contractor work, with competitive benefits such as insurance, 401(k), PTO, and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to pass background check and drug screen.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage building services including maintenance, groundskeeping, parking areas, and facility safety.
• Conduct regular building inspections and take proactive steps to ensure a safe, efficient, and presentable environment.
• Oversee safety and security measures, including fire, burglary, and facility closures.
• Monitor and maintain CCTV and access card operations.
• Support program managers by identifying and coordinating maintenance projects and repairs.
• Track and maintain facility fire and health inspections and ensure timely resolution of deficiencies.
• Direct contractor activities related to facility maintenance, equipment, and grounds.
