Job summary

CAMBA in New York City seeks a candidate to create engaging lesson plans aimed at fostering discovery and adventure for at-risk youth. The role involves providing group or individual assistance to students in various academic and non-academic activities.

In addition, the successful candidate will participate in client progress meetings with parents and school staff, contribute to administrative discussions, and provide information for required reports. The position offers the opportunity to coordinate job placements for clients as well.

• Research, develop and execute engaging lesson plans for learning.
• Provide assistance to at-risk children and youth.
• Participate in meetings with parents and school personnel.
• Engage in administrative and staff meetings.
• Complete reports as needed.

Job description

• Research, develop and execute fun and engaging lesson plans (activities), to create opportunities for discovery learning, adventure, and recreation.
• Provide group and/or individual assistance to "at-risk" children and/or youth student participants in academic and/or nonacademic activities.
• Participate in client progress meetings/conferences with parents and school personnel.
• Participate in administrative and staff meetings as requested.
• Provide all required information for weekly/monthly/quarterly/annual reports.
• May actively solicit and coordinate internship or job opportunities for clients.
• Tasks may be modified, expanded and/or assigned over time.
