Sevymca is seeking a Youth Instructor in Simi Valley to support the growth and development of children through engaging classes and activities. This role involves planning and leading youth enrichment programs while maintaining a positive atmosphere for children.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in child supervision, excellent organizational skills, and will be required to hold Child & Infant CPR and First Aid certification. Join us in making a difference in the community!
This position supports the work of the Y, a leading non‑profit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Youth Instructor's plan, implement, and supervise engaging activities and programs designed to foster personal growth, learning, and development in children and adolescents. They will maintain supportive and positive atmospheres that welcome and respect all individuals as well as relate to students, parents, and staff in a positive and professional manner at all times.
Mission Advancement: Accepts and demonstrates the Y's values. Demonstrates a desire to serve others and fulfill community needs. Recruits volunteers and builds effective, supportive working relationships with them. Supports fund‑raising.
