Job summary
Maryland Coalition of Families is seeking a Part-time Youth Engagement Specialist in Prince George's County, MD. The role supports the Healthy Transitions Program by providing youth leadership and enrichment activities for transition-aged youth (16-25) using lived experience with mental health/behavioral health services.
The ideal candidate lives in PG County, has a high school diploma or equivalent, and can work a flexible schedule including nights/weekends.
Qualifications
- Lived experience with mental health/behavioral health services is required.
- Flexibility to work a schedule including nights and weekends.
- Ability to communicate effectively with a remote supervisor.
- Experience engaging youth from diverse backgrounds is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Provide enrichment activities, advocacy, and leadership development for transition-aged youth (TAY).
- Participate in coordination meetings and trainings with Prince George's County System of Care leadership.
- Lead peer-support program development and community outreach for youth.
- Capture and report data for funder reporting.
- Promote program awareness through social media and other channels.
