Job summary

Larkin Street Youth Services is hiring an Engagement Counselor to welcome clients at our main drop-in center in San Francisco. The role focuses on connecting youth to food, laundry, showers and case management, while monitoring well-being and coordinating life-skills activities.

On-site, full-time position with full benefits; experience in social services and a commitment to serving Transitional Aged Youth (18–25) preferred. Bilingual incentives may apply and health plans are offered.

Qualifications

• Some social services and/or direct-service experience.
• Experience in drop-in services, shelter, transitional and/or permanent supportive housing programs is a bonus.
• Willingness to work onsite and holidays occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Welcome clients to the main drop-in center and help access food, laundry, shower and case management services.
• Monitor client well-being, provide crisis intervention and organize life-skills groups and activities.
• Provide support to the Engagement & Community Center including the front desk and food services.
