Job summary

Ducks Unlimited, Inc. is seeking a Youth Engagement Coordinator for Region 5. This remote, full-time position oversees regional youth programs (Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Missouri) with travel to meet partners and volunteers.

Responsibilities include growing Varsity memberships, promoting DU TRAP and DU’s R3 programs, recruiting new chapters, and coordinating with State Youth Engagement Chairs. A four-year degree is required and strong written communication is essential.

• Requires a four-year accredited degree.
• Experience with Ducks Unlimited is a plus.
• Strong communication, writing, and organizational skills are essential.

• Increase awareness of Ducks University (collegiate) program and assist in recruitment of volunteers and members into existing chapters.
• Build and maintain relationships with State Youth Engagement Chairs to promote DU’s youth engagement programs.

Youth Engagement Coordinator

The Youth Engagement Coordinator position encompasses the oversight of Ducks Unlimited's youth programs in Region 5 which includes the following states: Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, and Missouri.

Chosen candidate must reside or relocate to central Missouri. This position is remote but requires travel. As a remote employee, you may be required to come in at any time, with reasonable notice, into a DU office (or other designated location) for meetings and other business needs.

Job Responsibilities:

The Region 6 Youth Engagement Coordinator position encompasses the oversight of organization youth programs including but not limited to:

• Grow the organization’s Varsity membership through engagement with youth shooting sports and the FFA.
• Promotion of the DU TRAP program to youth shooting sportsteams.
• Promote DU’s R3 programs with state partners and NGOs to increase youth shooting and hunting participation.
• Recruitment of new Varsity (high school) chapters and volunteers to the organization.

Qualifications Required:

• Applicants must have a minimum of a four-year accredited degree to apply for this position.
• Prior volunteer experience with Ducks Unlimited will greatly benefit candidates, as well as experience in education, or R3 programs.
• Candidates should have outstanding communication, writing and organizational skills; ability to persuasively convey the mission of DU and be proficient in standard computer programs.
• The chosen candidate will be required to reside or relocate to central Missouri at a mutually agreeable location, and office from their home.

Benefits/Pay: Starting salary ranges from $60,000 - $65,000 and will be based on experience and education. DU offers an exceptional benefit package, including comprehensive group medical, prescription, dental and vision insurance, including spouse and dependent coverage; three weeks paid vacation, paid sick leave, and ten paid holidays; 401(k) plan (including partial employer match); and tuition reimbursement.
